Rabia Butt

P

elvic actinomycosis is a rare presentation of the infection caused by Actinomycetes, presenting as chronic granulomatous

inflammation having frequency of 3% and only 2% cases reported in ovary. We present a case of 25 years old female

presented in outdoor with complains of abdominal pain and low grade fever for one week. The ultrasonography showed right

adnexal mass. The mass was excised and sent for histopathological examination. Histopathological findings were consistent

with actinomycosis of the ovary.
