New trends in aesthetic dentistry
Dentistry has developed a lot in the last decades especially in regards to the materials used and computerized technologies.
One of the aspects of dentistry that has a good share of interest by the practitioner and the patients is aesthetic dentistry.
A lot of patients are victims of tetracycline discolorations, fluorosis of areas and hypocalicifications, these are common clinical
scenarios that are best treated using veneers. This lecture will talk about all the new trends of modern aesthetic dentistry from
routine basic treatments to the most advanced and technology based aesthetic treatments, with an introduction on the new
composite systems, conventional and modern ceramic materials, bleaching techniques and porcelain laminate veneers. The
lecture aims to address the modern concepts of aesthetic dentistry in a very comprehensive and integrated approach, which
will emphasize on minimal invasive notions.
Biography
Amir Hadjhamou is the Director at The Elite Academy. He is also a Consultant, Prosthodontist and Implantologist at Claude Bernard University, Lyon 1. He is the
Head of Prosthodontics department in Atlas Specialized Medical Center and Clinical Supervisor in Prosthodontics at College of Dental Medicine, University of
Sharjah. He obtained his Post-doctoral degree from University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. He was also appointed as a Lecturer in addition to his clinical duties in the
Oral Maxillofacial department and Prosthodontics department, at Hotel-Dieu Hospital, Lyon, France. In parallel to his academic and clinical experience, he had the
opportunity to present in various conferences and courses in many countries. In UAE, he has been practicing as a Senior Clinical Supervisor in Prosthodontics
at the University of Sharjah, College of Dental Medicine, for the last nine years and holds two private practices dedicated to Aesthetic Rejuvenations and Dental
Implants. He is the Founding Director of the Aesthetic Dentistry and Applied Methods Course.
