hese include the condition of the existing tooth, color of the existing tooth, position of the tooth in the mouth, (anterior vs.
posterior) esthetic desires of the patient and the skills and preferences of the laboratory technician doing the restoration. A
decision flow chart is presented to guide the treatment team (dentist and dental technician) in the selection of the restoration
material. Know basic philosophy of treatment planning, that all teeth should be restored with the most conservative restoration
that satisfies the patient’s esthetic and functional requirements.
Biography
Yasemin Kulak Ozkan has completed her graduate education from Marmara University, Faculty of Dentisty in 1987. She became a Research Assistant in the
Faculty of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics in the same year. She became an Associate profesor in 1996 and became Professor in 2001. She became a Vice
Dean in 2004-2007. She became a Dean in 2014. She currently works Dean and Chief of Prosthodontic Departments in Marmara University, Faculty of Dentistry,
Department of Prosthodontics. She has She has published more than 60 papers in various reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member
of repute.
