T

he reconstruction of anterior tongue is done by a variety of techniques ranging from secondary healing to free

flaps.We

present a less often used technique of infrahyoid myofasciocutaneous flap for reconstructing tongue

lesions. This is a simple method of reconstruction with the use of loco regional tissue not reacquiring specialized

instrumentation or training. From October 2016 to February 2018, this technique was performed in nine patients

of squamous cell carcinoma of tongue. In this presentation we will elaborate our experience, the advantages of using

this surgical technique and the functional outcome for tongue reconstruction after ablation surgery in oral cancer.
