The place of peek in evidence based dentistry and implantology

T
he PEEKMedical Polyetheretherketone is a high performance polymer. The materials in this group combine excellent mechanical
properties with the highest biological compatibility. PEEK is also used in aeronautical construction for heavy parts and for
medical applications. It has evolved in the field, especially for the manufacture of denture frames. The elasticity of the material, which
is of the same order as that of bone tissue, makes it a nature-like material since it can compensate for bone torsion, especially in
the presence of large implantation work. It has replaced titanium with its properties and qualities. This work aims to demystify this
material by demonstrating its advantages and limitations and its place in current dentistry.
Biography
Mouhibi Abdallah has completed his Dental medicine at the age of 22 years from Faculty od Dental Medecin of Casablnca from Hassan II University of Casablanca, and
pursuing residant in Prosthodontics.
