Abstract
Images supplemented with verbal descriptions, if placed in a meaningful story, give much more information and make a greater impact than just talking. It gives a visual result, which could be used later. This approach works well with autistic children, especially those who are partially or completely nonverbal. It is a life-skills learning and self-discovery tool for the child and an opportunity for the adult to explore the child's personality creatively, a productive rapport. For adults with mental health issues, this approach helps to look at their problems from a different perspective, using nature imagery as mediator. It creates less painful ways to contact someone’s upsetting issues. Besides, it allows them to see their own priorities and perhaps see solutions to their own problems. Thematic photobook system can help anyone with a wide range of problems. It does not require specialized knowledge, but it does require the sincere involvement of two people. This system tends to develop in all sorts of directions and for different purposes. The example of such work is here • The Thematic Photobook System: A Teaching Strategy for Exceptional Children (TEACHING Exceptional Children Plus) • A Creative Approach to Development of Special Children (International academic journal «Human and Society») • The Use of the Technique of <Biography
