Abstract
From time immemorial the continent of Africa has always provided solutions to multi-faceted sickness and problems of human race. Being the cradle of civilization, the western conventional medicine relies majorly on the medicinal plants in Africa which are usually processed to tablets, syrup, and other forms in modern day medicine. But, the focus of our research was to introduce ancient traditional medicine which has been passed by our native doctors in the Yoruba ethnic group of Nigeria from generation the plants have been tested and trusted due to its no side effect characteristics. Among the various plants that will be exhibited is Ewe Iyalode, Ewe Akintola, Ewe Ewuro, Orogbo (bitter kola) and many more traditional roots and plants and their usage in solving life threatening ailments.
