Abstract
Extensive use of hexavalent chromium in various industrial applications has caused substantial environment contamination. Carbon nanotubes are nanometer-scaled hollow cylindrical structures of carbon atoms that exists in close-ended multiple- walled and single-walled arrangements. In this study, the adsorption properties of nanotube multi layered for removal of chromium (vi) from aqueous solution is investigated. Batch experiment is conducted to determine the adsorption properties of carbon nanotubes. At a pH of 7,the maximum capacity of nano particles is 1.69mmol/g.This study demonstrated that the multi wall nanotube could be used as an efficient biosorbent for the treatment of chromium (vi) wastewater treatments.
