Abstract
The presentation will add a glimpse to overview of pediatric obesity management-review of existing data, information gleaned from recent research interventions, role of obesity/nutrition in insulin resistance and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. The author will give in detail the various factors related to pediatric obesity management.
Biography

Scheimann completed her MD at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and her pediatric residency and gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and maintains an ongoing appointment at Baylor College of Medicine in the Prader-willi syndrome clinic. She directs the Weigh Smart pediatric weight management program at Mount Washington Hospital and has been involved in clinical research in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and Prader-willi syndrome. She has authored and co-authored more than 54 peer–reviewed publications.
