Management of dental erosion

Abstract
Dental erosion is defined as the irreversible loss of dental hard tissues from acids, without the involvement of bacteria. The adequate intervention to dental erosion is prevention followed by management as it is irreversible. The ideal way for management is fluoride treatment as it contributes to remineralization of enamel. However, it is not that ideal. It has been warned that fluorides ability to prevent erosion cannot be presumed. Recent researches have been made to identify protective agents against erosion that eventually increase the Nano hardness of previously eroded enamel and thus, reducing the progression of erosion. This poster is an attempt to present the same.Biography
Prabhjot Kaur have completed Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the age of 24 Years from baba Farid Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, India. She presented many posters at national conferences during her graduation. Now she is working as a faculty member in Shri Guru Ram Dass Dental College, Amritsar, Punjab, India.
