Abstract
This study presents the results of data from 135 patients aged 18-70 years who attempted suicide and were hospitalized in the toxicology department of the Multidisciplinary City Hospital of Karaganda city during the period from June 2023 to April 2024. Intentional self-poisoning occurred in 39% (T39) with non-opioid analgesics, antipyretic and antirheumatics according to ICD-10. 19% of patients used antiepileptic, sedative-hypnotic and antiparkinsonism drugs. (T42). In 14% of cases, poisoning was caused by other psychotropic drugs, not elsewhere classified (T43), the toxic effect of caustic acids and acid-like substances (T54.2) was found in 10%, in other cases they were used in descending order T46, T50, T45.4, T38. 3, T37.5, T60.2, T62.0. According to the leading psychopathological disorder, the following groups were identified: F43.2 – Adjustment disorders in 69% of cases, F10 - Mental and behavioral disorders due to use of alcohol - 15%, Z04.8 - Examination and observation for other specified reasons - 6%. F32.2 - Major Depressive Disorder, Single Episode, Severe without Psychotic Features - 3%, F20.0 - Paranoid schizophrenia; F21 - Schizotypal disorder - 2% and other disorders. The proposed approach with the clinical characteristics of attempts can be used to increase the efficiency of work with suicidal populations at the stages of diagnosis, correctional and preventive work.
