Yangzhou University is established in Jiangsu Province, China. It was formed by merging six colleges in 1992. The university has got 2000 faculty and 31 thousand undergraduates. It is covering 11 disciplines and offering 92 undergraduate programs. The courses offered are humanity, science, business, engineering, architecture, computer, medicine, art, music, agriculture, animal husbandry, etc. Yangzhou University library has 3.25 million books and journals. It has one national laboratory, fourteen ministerial and provincial laboratories. The university has got its own journal. At undergraduate level 16000 students are studying and at graduate level 3800 students are studying. Yangzhou University gives exposure to industry, teaching and research. At present there are 900 research projects underway including 65 national projects. Yangzhou University has got tie ups with institutions of higher education in 10 countries. More than 700 faculty members have been sent abroad for advanced studies. Every year the total number of international students in the university is increasing as like the number of Chinese students learning English.
