Wuhan University

Wuhan University is a National University which comes under the administration of ministry of Education. It is under the 211 Project and 985 Project universities which gets full support from Central and State governments. Wuhan University was initially named as Ziqiang Institute which was founded in 1893. In the process of changes and up gradation after several years the University is named as Wuhan National University in 1928. By the year 1946 the university had 6 colleges, the colleges of liberal art, law, sciences, engineering, agriculture and medicine. Wuhan Universitys main motto is "Improve Oneself, Promote Perseverance, Seek Truth and Make Innovations." Wuhan University has educated more than 3lakh professionals in various disciplines. The extraordinary achievements of Wuhan University have brought the international reputation to the University. The world famous Journal science listed Wuhan University as the most prominent universities of higher education in China. Wuhan University established collaborations with 400 universities and research institutes in over 70 countries and regions.
