University of Ghana

The University of Ghana was established as the University College of the Gold Coast by Ordinance on August 11, 1948 with the end goal of giving and advertising college instruction, learning and exploration. The motto of the university is to create world-class human asset and capacities to help and worldwide difficulties through quality instructing, learning, examination and information spread. THE UNIVERSITY OF GHANA was established in 1948 as the University College of the Gold Coast on the suggestion of the Asquith Commission, on Higher Education in British provinces. The Asquith Commission, which was situated up in 1943 to research Higher Education, proposed besides everything else, the setting up of University Colleges in relationship with the University of London. This was caught up by various separate Commissions in distinctive locales. The West Africa Commission was under the Chairmanship of the Rt. Hon. Walter Elliot. Comprising of three campuses, the University of Ghana offers scholastic learning and research through its four schools. Moreover, UG encompasses of various exploration organizations and focuses, libraries, managerial business locales, and other help services and administrations. The University has an enlistment of over twenty thousand degree applicants, including undergraduates, graduate, and worldwide international students. UGs graduated class are pioneers in Agriculture, Business, Health Care, Industry, Service, Politics and Education parts.
