University of Caen Basse-Normandie was instituted in 1432 by King Henry VI of England. It is one of the oldest universities of France. The university has 43 research units which are collaborated with federal structures like CNRS, INRA, CEA etc. University of Caen Basse-Normandie has more than 25,000 students, out of which approx. 15000 are enrolled in undergraduate studies, 5,7000 into Masters 1,910 are enrolled for doctorate.
