Founded in 1882 as a teacher training college, the university gained the status as the University of Bedfordshire in 2006. The university in centered in Bedford and Luton, the two biggest towns in Bedfordshire, England. The university has five campuses which are in Luton town center, Bedford, Putteridge Bury, Buckinghamshire campus and University Campus Milton Keynes. The university consists of about 24,000 students across these campuses. The University has four departments which include, Creative Arts, Technologies and Science, Education and Sport, Health and Social Sciences. The university has regional representatives in parts of India like Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad and Vadodara. They are given training to offer free counseling and advice.
