The University San Jorge (USJ) is a Spanish private university, promoted by the archdiocese of Zaragoza and the San Valero Foundation, located in Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza province, Aragon. The University San Jorge is a university institution of private education, inspired by the values of Christian humanism and promoted by the San Valero Foundation, a Canonical Foundation belonging to the Diocese of Zaragoza that began its educational activity in 1953 and also Is the impeller of other educational centers. The campus of Villanueva de Gállego has three buildings, designed by the office of architecture of the then rector Javier Pérez Herreras. On February 24, 2005, the Cortes de Aragón passed the law recognizing the establishment of the San Jorge University. The San Valero Foundation promoted the creation of this university, and its first rector was Luis Lostao Camón, who succeeded Javier Peréz Herreras. On July 14, 2009 was rector Carlos Pérez Caseiras. In the first years of the University of San Jorge three degrees were taught in the field of communication and engineering: Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations and Computer Engineering. During the 2008-2009 academic year, the University of San Jorge grew by 100% to a total of six undergraduate degrees. The Faculty of Communication, with four degrees already implemented, Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Audiovisual Communication and Intercultural Communication and Communication, was ranked among the top five in Spain in a training proposal. The training of the graduates in this Faculty was completed with the Masters Degree in Marketing and Corporate Communication, The Title itself in Protocol and Organization of Acts and a Doctoral Program in Communication that believes in research as a key element of social development. In addition, the Faculty of Health Sciences hosted Pharmacy, the Masters Degree in Environmental Management of the Company and Doctorate in Environment. The introduction of Pharmacy supposes that this university is the only Faculty of Aragon that imparts these studies of degree and the first one of Spain that incorporates the new pharmaceutical trends that recovers the WHO and the International Federation of Pharmacy. These five degrees, which are completed with the MBA are located on the university campus of Villanueva de Gállego were also the sports campus. The University San Jorge consists of campuses like the Campus of Villanueva de Gállego. It also consists of schools like- Higher Polytechnic School, School of Architecture, School of Government and Leadership etc. These schools have the facility of Pervasive Computing Research Group (Higher Polytechnic School), Architecture and Urbanism (School of Architecture) and Research in Efficiency and Efficiency in the processes of decision making (School of Government and Leadership). The University consists of excellent faculties like the Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Health Sciences. The University also consists of bright students and top researchers. Together with the coordination of the faculties and support of the students the University ranks 66 in the country and 3355 in the World. The development of the research carried out by the Universidad San Jorge in the last years begins to bear fruit with the concession of different projects at national and international level. These projects are carried out within the research groups that are the basic cell in which the research activity of the University is structured. The results of the research are recognized by the Ministry of Science Technology and University of the Government of Aragon of five research groups, of which only one is consolidated.
