The university hospital of Bern is located in Bern; it is one of the five university hospitals of Switzerland. This hospital is associated with University of Bern. This hospital is operated by a charitable foundation established in1354,by the encouragement of Anna Seiler, a wealthy man Bern. It got its current name in1531.when it occupied the building of St. Michaels Insel convent.
