The Children’s University Hospital in Krakow also known as the “Institute of Pediatrics” was singled out as an independent university in 1997 from the Polish-American Children Institute of Pediatrics, which is currently conducting research and teaching activities for students of the Medical Faculty of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Despite this division, both the Hospital and the Institute are today still cooperate in order to serve the good of sick children.
The hospital has modern equipment, including X-ray, computerized tomography, angiography, scintigraphy, echosonography equipment, apparatus for irradiation and a number of unique, highly specialized facilities for the comprehensive diagnosis of patients.
Hospital surgical team continues the best traditions of Polish pediatrics and makes a significant contribution to the development of this discipline. The scientific research of our employees is gaining considerable recognition in the scientific world.
