Doctor Guillermo Rodolfo Pessagno is the founder of the university. At the first, the university offered Educational Sciences Faculty careers in in Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, Physics and Natural Sciences and Literature Castilian, also careers of Management, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Tourism, Mining and Geology. National University of Comahue was created in July 15, 1971 based on the Law 19, 117 (the national executive branch sanctioned and promulgated) inder the plan Taquini. It came together in an organization at the University of Neuquén and other colleges scattered throughout the region. University is located in Buenos Aires, Province of Neuquén, Argentina. The motto of the university is “Public and Free University”. First Academic year began in 1972, march 15 at new university complex.
