The University of Tunis El Manar is an administrative public institution created in 1987 under the name "University of Science, Technology and Medicine of Tunis" by Article 97 da Law No. 87-83 of December 31 1987. It took its current name by Decree No. 2000-2826 of 27 November 2000, on the change of appellation of universities. Since its inception, it continues to open up new areas to meet the needs of education and research, while maintaining its strength with humanistic values. It is welcoming with training closer to the needs of society. It brings together the academic and the oldest research Tunisia and is distinguished by its intellectual heritage, quality education covering the main areas of science, languages ââ¬â¹Ã¢â¬â¹and engineering techniques as well as by a research quality. UTM provides basic training curriculum, thorough and continuous, organized in part on the principle of the LMD system
