Since the Switzerland has become leading hub of finance affairs the Swiss Bankers Association has decided to invest in the creation of the Swiss Finance Institute and founded it with the great ambitions to house a world-leading research and training center in banking and finance. It is formed from the integration of 3 institutes: the International Center for Financial Asset Management and Engineering (FAME) in Geneva, the Swiss Banking School in Zurich and the Stiftung Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich.
