The Asian Studies Program is an enjoyable and educational opportunity for students from around the world to study at Soonchunhyang University. There are approximately 50 courses conducted in English. Courses include Korean Studies, Asian culture classes, history, politics, economics, and Korean Language. These courses have been developed and refined thanks to our dedicated faculty. It is a new type of joint venture that has unlimited potential to help grow the local economy, as well as stimulating competitiveness for companies due to our excellent and capable students. The results of research and development from BRIC include; the creation of a Natural Domestic Institute; a food laboratory, and; a clinical testing laboratory that has enhanced enterprise’ competitiveness by preparing students for actual business. Soochunhyang was chosen to be a partner in BRIC Business in 2006, which was designed to be a local business innovation center. It is a new type of joint venture that has unlimited potential to help grow the local economy, as well as stimulating competitiveness for companies due to our excellent and capable students. The results of research and development from BRIC include; the creation of a Natural Domestic Institute; a food laboratory, and; a clinical testing laboratory that has enhanced enterprise’ competitiveness by preparing students for actual business. Therefore, we are training specialized, bi-lingual trade experts who have practical experience. For example, our university gained $230,000 in export achievements from the Trade Incubator (TI) Business in the last 6 years. Since 1995, the University has supported capable students by helping provide the latest equipment to small and medium-sized enterprises. The U-Healthcare Research Center is a new form of medical service, which combines treatment with information technology.
