The North Orissa University was established within the year 1998 vide Government of state Notification No. I-HE/U-21/98. 32930/HE dated the thirteenth July 1998. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) below Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956 with result from fifteen.02.2000 and twenty one.06.2006, respectively. it’s conjointly recognized by the Bar Council of Bharat and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) programme of UGC. North state University is enclosed within the list of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and Association of Commonwealth Universities, London. The University is authorized by National Assessment Council (NAAC), urban center with B+ grade with result from ninth Gregorian calendar month, 2017.
