Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) is an Egyptian organisation affiliated to Ministry of Housing. The National Research Centre is an Egyptian research and development center for multiple disciplines inclusive of agriculture, chemistry, biology, medicinal drug, engineering and genetics. It became set up in 1956 "to foster simple and implemented medical research, in particular in industry, agriculture, public health and different sectors of countrywide economy". The NRC is the biggest group affiliated with the ministry of Scientific Research. It has a studies team of workers of 4847 scientists and is headed through a president with vice presidents for research and technical affairs. On 21 June 1954, a cooperation settlement on the status quo of the Institute for building researches in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs of the US of America Government turned into signed. Act No. 495 turned into issued on 23 September 1954 to set up the Institute for constructing researches in Egypt as an impartial organization. In 1971, selection range 1871 was issued from the Prime Minister stating the association of the Institute to the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development. On sixteen February 2005, presidential decrees No. Sixty three and No. 64 for the 12 months 2005 have been issued to reorganize the Housing and Building Center and its name become Housing and Building National Research Center affiliated to the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development.
