Mutah University is located in Karak Governorate in Jordan. It was founded in the year 1981 by Royal Decree, to be a national institution for military and civilian higher education. It has 12 main faculties in Agriculture, Arts, Business Administration, Educational Sciences, Engineering , Humanities & Social Sciences, Law, Medicine , Nursing , Science , Sharia (Islamic Studies), Sport Sciences.
It also issues three journals namely: Humanities and Social Sciences Series, Natural and Applied Sciences Series, Jordan Journal of Arabic Language and Literature
