Michigan State University

The Michigan State University was founded in May 13, 1857 in US. It was Joseph R. Williams, the first president who designed a curriculum with the requirement of more scientific study than practically any undergraduate institution of the era. It balanced science, liberal arts, and practical training. In 1870, it first underwent the policy of coeducation by allowing the female students in their education system. With 56 majors and 82 minors, the college is noted for a wide array of liberal arts and science programs as well as teacher education, business, aviation, and criminal justice programs. Michigan state university is notable the ninth largest university of the united states in terms of student bodies, where about 90% of the students come from all over the country. It is also ranking 92nd in the world measuring the scientific research. The university is also ranking number four in several other fields, including international/intercultural communication, mass communication, and interpersonal communication based on the November 2004 NCA report. Not only in terms of student population but the research and its quality as well as novelty is well noted for the university that has given a new dimension of reputation to it all over the world.
