Three different universities were united to form Jiangsu University, which has 100 years of history. Previously, this university was known as Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. Later the ministry of education, China, in the year 2001, has joined the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology with Zhenjiang Medical College and Zhenjiang Teachers’ College.
Now, this university has more than 25 schools and 87 undergraduate degree programs including fields such as Engineering, Science, Medicine, Literature, Economics, Law, Management, Education and History. University campus is nearly 3000 mu containing research centres such as national engineering and technology research center, national experiment teaching center etc. It has a huge population of students with 42,000 and 4,800 faculty members.
University has 286 scientific achievements with 1001 patents, which contains 865 invention patents. It also has 2 gold medals for patents and nearly 7500 academic papers. With this excellence in research field, university has obtained national scientific fund in the year 2008.
