It aims to promote cancer prevention, to conduct and support biomedical research, and to improve the care and rehabilitation of cancer patients. The Institute became full UICC member in 1962. La Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, precedentemente chiamata Istituto Nazionale per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori, spesso abbreviato come INT, è un ospedale pubblico milanese dedicato esclusivamente alla cura del cancro. LIstituto rappresenta il più grande centro oncologico in Lombardia, ed è sede dellufficio di coordinamento della Rete Oncologica Lombarda (R.O.L.).
