Inje University was established in 1979 as the first non-profit private higher education institute in Korea. The admission procedure is done through certain entrance examination making it a selective institute. It believes in protecting nature, love and respect for human beings and life and thus the main purpose of Inje University is to equip its students with all the facilities, proper knowledge so that they could serve well in their profession as well as work for the development of the nation with self-realization and healthy work ethics. Known as the oldest most institute it has 8 colleges, 15 schools and 29 departments. It provides education in under graduates and post graduates degrees. The school site is around 71.07 acres. It has about 1256 faculties and 13,978 undergraduates with 1468 post graduates as per the exact recorded figures and facts. Inje develop collaborations with other international institutes to make its students and faculties much more learned and stronger in their major subjects or their subject of interest to ensure they get the best. They conduct overseas conferences, training programmes for students and also offer such same programmes in their colleges to attract the foreign institutes. Inje always believe in providing the best for its students and faculties to make them the perfectionist in their profession so as to serve others and their nation with love and care. Inje has signed around 91 academic exchange agreements with 91 overseas countries and have international students in its university (157 in undergraduates, 92 in graduates, 34 in centre for Korean language and culture).
