IRCCS Policlinico San Donato Hospital was founded in 1969, today it lies on an area of more than 50.000 sq.m. and is located in the city of San Donato Milanese, 7 km. from the centre of Milan. The building structure extends over 16.000 sq.m. and is composed of two main buildings. The hospital has 8 operating theatres equipped with the most advanced technology, 373 beds for in-patients, 7 beds in day-hospital, 19 places for Hemodialysis and a Emergency Roon with 2 beds. The clinical activity is organized in 26 Specialistic Divisions of Diagnosis and Care,11 Centre of High Specialty, 33 Ambulatory Services, 21 Specialistic Services. The Specialistic Divisions of Diagnosis and Care are organized in three principal divisions. Cardiovascular Centre "E. Malan" Divisions: Heart surgery I, Heart surgery II, Paediatric Heart surgery, Clinical Cardiology –Coronary Intensive Care, Cardiology and Electrophysiology, Cardiology and Hemodynamics, Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease in Adults, Vascular Surgery I, Vascular Surgery II, Post-Operative Intensive Care. Surgery Divisions: General Surgery I, General Surgery II, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics I, Orthopedics II, Orthopedics III, Intensive Care Unit, Traumatology, Urology.
