Hebei North University is a large coeducation higher education institution located in the large city of Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China under the provincial government. It is recognized by the Department of Education, Hebei Province. It offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees. Hebei North University also provides various academic and non-academic facilities and favours to students including a library and administrative services. The University was founded in May 2003 after approval by the Ministry of Education.
It consists of three former commonly administrated institutions of higher learning in Zhangjiakou:
• Zhangjiakou Medical College (ZJKMC)
• Zhangjiakou Teachers College (ZJKTC)
• Zhangjiakou Advanced Post-secondary Agriculture School (ZJKAPAS)
The university consists of 12 colleges which are Medical Technology College, Medical College, the first Clinical Medicine College, the Second Clinical Medicine College, Literature College, Science College, Agronomy and Horticulture College, Veterinary Medicine College, Foreign Language College and Adult Education College. Full-time undergraduate educations along with postgraduate, postsecondary and adult education are main courses of the university. Currently there are 31,000 registered students. Hebei North University is a regional government multi-faculty university, offering Bachelors Academic Degree programs as well as Master Academic Degree programs.
Hebei North University main focus is on teaching, scientific research, clinical medicine and scientific development. The current scholarly areas of the university cover ten academic arrangements, which are medicine, agronomy, literature, pedagogy, law, management science, history, economics, science and engineering, having a place with 76 scholarly regions of undergraduate and postsecondary specific schooling.
