La Paz University Hospital is a public hospital, part of the Community of Madrid, located in the north of Madrid. Since the opening of the General Hospital in July 1964, its appearance has changed and grown into the large hospital complex we know today, consisting of a network of 17 buildings and four major hospitals: the General Hospital, the Maternity Hospital, Childrens hospital and the Hospital of Traumatology and Rehabilitation. The Hospital Universitario La Paz serves sanitary people of municipalities Area 5 health centers across specialties Fuencarral , Bravo Murillo, Peñagrande , Colmenar Viejo and Cantoblanco Hospital , attached to La Paz in 2005 also offers assistance health specialist in gynecology and obstetrics citizens of Area 4 , remembering that each year receives a large number of patients in Spain and other countries .
