It was started in 2005 as training and research offshoot of GIT, with an aim to strengthen the grassroots action for human development through mainstreaming innovative research and field learning. GI intends to create a National Advisory Board and International Advisory Board by inviting eminent researchers and senior experts, professors. GI is working as both as Company as well as Society. Presently GI activities include its focus on a) Research, and b) Capacity Building.Within nearby future GI aims to develop itself as an institution excellent in evolving alternative policies for public institutions and to provide developmental assistance to Governments, universities.
