Gifu University is situated in Central Japan in the mid of Tokyo and Kyoto. It was established on May 31, 1949. The university consists of basically five departmental faculties. This includes engineering, education, regional science, biological science and medical science. There are more than 7,000 students and post-graduate students that are studying at Gifu University. The university aims to educate students and scholars and develop them globally in all fields of education. It focuses on the exploration of new and innovative ideas by the students to develop the human community. The university is developing students in such a way that has made them to compete internationally with the students throughout the world. It trains and educates students and makes them more productive for the development of the country. In addition to classroom lectures, the university also provides electronic lectures that have helped students to develop globally. The university draws on diverse academic and research capacities to tackle regional issues and help stimulate local society. We believe in having a strong presence in the community.
