French Society for Operational Research and Decision Support

It is an association of 1901 law. Its mission is to promote the Development of Operational Research and Decision Support in France, to disseminate knowledge to industrialists and to promote its teaching in initial and continuing education. ROADEF federates a network of more than 1000 private and public sector researchers on a variety of topics including planning, pricing, stimulation and more generally algorithm. All French speaking engineering and business schools and universities participate in ROADEF through their operational research and decision support teams on topics such as planning, logistics optimization, and game theory. Many groups but also consulting firms specialised in optimization as well as innovative SMEs are members and actively participate in the life of this community, and the annual conference held in each February. More than 600 people attended this annual conference, where each of them presented the latest advances in their research and partnerships with each other to help make better decisions through the use of informational technology. The ordinary general meeting is composed of all the members of the association up to date of their subscription. The ordinary general assembly is the supreme organ of the association. It may take any decision concerning its operation within the limits set by the law and the present statutes. It means once a year at the invitation of the president. Ordinary general meetings must be announced at least 7 weeks prior to their holding. At least 3 weeks before the ordinary general meeting, a written notice containing the agenda will be sent to all members of association up to date. The application is based on analysing the characteristics of travellers who access online advertisements. A prediction engine makes it possible to choose from a panel of available commercials the one that makes it possible to optimise the probability that the traveller is interested in the proposed advertising. Large volumes of information on searches, passenger segments and market supply need to be analysed, whereas targeted advertising recommendations need to be selected in a very short time. This is why we are looking on the most advanced techniques of automatic learning and big data in this project to propose the best recommendations for travellers. This type of approach is being tested on a robot that can offer inspiration to clients based on their tastes and affinities. Creation of research department at Amadeus is born on October 21st, 1987, Amadeus has become over the years a leading player in the travel industry in the world. At its inception, Amadeus was a global distribution system (GDS), which continued to grow until it reached 1 million bookings per day in 1998. With the advent of the internet and to strengthen its positioning, the e-commerce division was created in the mid-1990s and the first applications for managing inventory reservations were delivered to airlines. Analysis and research is led by Rodrigo Acuna-Agost. It is made up of 15 research engineers, 7 of whom hold a PhD: Ahmed Ben Abderrahmane, Alejandro Mottini, Alexandre Salch, Alix Lheritier, Anh Quan Nguyen, Baptiste Chatrain, Benoit Lardeux, David Renaudie, Mourad Boudia, Nagesha Jayarama, Nicolas Bondoux, Rodrigo Acuna Agost, Shirish Thakkar, Thierry Delahaye and Valentin Weber. The main areas of research investigated by the team focus on data analysis and big data, learning and deep learning, operational research, simulation.
