Erica Foundation was founded in 1934 by Hanna Bratt, a retired teacher and principal who was driven by a commitment to change the future of repressive and authoritarian attitudes towards children and parenting. The Erica Foundation is an independent institute providing psychotherapy for children and adolescents, professional training at university level, and research. It is largely funded through central governmental and county council support. The chairman of the board is elected by the government. A director runs the Foundation and reports to the board. Erica Foundation is pleased to be the first university in Europe to offer training in the CPP. An evidence-based treatment model for traumatized children 0-6 years.
