At the beginning there was Damanhur branch from Alexandria University. This branch was aiming, and tried hard for this goal, to complete the necessary elements for building Damanhur University on scientific and economic bases by adopting the idea of unified scientific departments. It was also adopting the economical administration of the University by adding new faculties. This branch contained, for more than 25 years, only four faculties Education, Agriculture, Arts and Commerce, and then the presidential decrees added three more faculties Sciences, Nursing and Veterinary Medicine. In addition the decrees of University Council have added new branches for some faculties such as Pharmacy, Kindergarten and Law, starting from the University Year 2007/2008.
University is focused around establishing an outstanding competitive center in the domain of learning and international scientific research and also around effective contribution in building learning society which is not only able to access, realize or use resources of knowledge but also able to innovate new knowledge and skills to be dedicated for the Egyptian identity and University values.
The University seeks to achieve its message through these strategic goals Self-evaluation and continuous development of studying programs for license and bachelor’s degree and also for high studies satisfying beneficiaries of education and students section. Developing the students’ activities and the methods of presenting students’ educational services and care. Developing the resources of self-financing and financial surpluses. Innovating special educational programs in order to raise quality of graduates and to satisfy demands of the age and labor market. Benefiting available potential abilities of the university in order to guarantee the continuous development of quality of graduates and their professional performance.
