Chuo University was established in 1885 based on the founding spirit of "fostering the ability to apply knowledge to practice." Under this spirit, practical education became a tradition the university is proud of, but that is by no means about superficial technical education. Chuo University was founded as Igirisu Horitsu Gakko (the English Law School) in 1885 through efforts led by a group of 18 young attorneys. Their vision was to nurture human resources that would be ideally suited to modern society through education at Igirisu Horitsu Gakko. Chuo University is often called “Hakumon (the White Gate).” The image of white is often related to justice, purity, truth and innocence, which are ideas that are associated with the law. This name was already used for Chuo University by the early Showa era. Chuo University offers a variety of programs of study. In the 120 years since its founding, the former Igirisu Horitsu Gakko has evolved into Chuo University, with six faculties, seven graduate schools, and three professional graduate schools, in addition to nine research institutes and three affiliated high schools.
The following is the list of articles by scholars from Chuo University that are published in OMICS International journals.
