Castle Hill Hospital

Castle Hill Hospital was established in October 1999 following the merger of the Royal Hull Hospitals NHS Trust and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. It operates from two main hospital sites, namely Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, plus it has a number of additional services based across other local estate and in the community. Castle Hill Hospital is the location for the majority of the Trusts elective activity. The hospital has the award winning Queens Centre for Oncology and Haematology offering world class care for patients with cancer and blood disorders. The Centre for Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery bringing diagnostic and treatment facilities in one state-of-the-art building on the site. Breast Surgery and ENT services are provided in the Centenary building. Castle Hill Hospital has low rates of infection and continually meets the highest standards of cleanliness. Castle Hill Hospital employs around 8,000 staff and welcome around 1 million patients every year. They are an aspiring NHS Foundation Trust and a recognized Major Trauma Centre for the region.
