Beijing Normal University, commonly known in Chinese as "Beishida", is the earliest established teacher-training university in China. It is the first university in China that has been authorized to grant doctoral degree in educational technology. The main campus was built in 1954. It is located in northwest downtown Beijing in Haidian district. In 2002, Zhuhai campus was built in Zhuhai city, Guangdong province.
