Adult Stem Cells are undifferentiated cells found in the body. They have the capability to renew it and regenerate damaged tissues. These are also known as somatic stem cells as they are present all throughout the body. Adult Stem Cells are inactive cells in organisms where cell turnover is low. There is a very small number of Adult Stem Cells in the human body and once removed, the capacity to divide decreases.
