The Vanderbilt Orthopedic Society had its initially meeting in 1975 with Dr. Arthur Brooks as the respected visitor speaker.
The general public is made out of orthopaedists who have finished the orthopedic project at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and individuals from the full-time scholarly staff. The main inhabitants have gone to the yearly meeting since 1995 at the expense of the general public.
