The Measurement, Control & Automation Association is the national trade association representing leading manufacturers and distributors of instrumentation, systems and software used in industrial process control and factory automation around the world. Our member companies include the leading multi-national companies together with a range of more niche-oriented providers. MCAA helps the management teams of process and factory automation product and solution providers run and grow successful businesses by offering timely, unique and highly specialized resources acquired from shared management benchmarks and strategies where proprietary company information is secure. MCAA serves members by delivering the reliable management data they need to succeed, by providing unique peer and customer networking/education opportunities and by offering a network of industry resources to help them solve their most critical business problems. MCAA was incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia in September 1994. The Association was founded in the 1940s as Recorder-Controller, Inc. and subsequently became associated with the Scientific Apparatus Makers Association (also known as the SAMA Group of Associations). As part of SAMA, the organization was known as the Recorder-Controller Section, the Process Measurement & Control Section and the Measurement, Control & Automation Section. MCAA helps the management teams of process control product and solution providers run and grow successful businesses by offering timely, unique and highly specialized resources acquired from shared management benchmarks and strategies where proprietary company information is secure. The Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) seeks to become the primary trade organization for North American companies providing process control solutions and services throughout the world. It will strive to be the leading source of information and benchmarks for the management teams of these companies in order to help them run and grow their businesses. Driven to provide valuable services to member companies, the group will facilitate the identification of business opportunities through peer contact, statistics and surveys, alliances with other industry organizations both domestic and international, acquisition of the latest business expertise, and a clear understanding of the needs of its customer groups.
