SPIE is an International society with an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light in advance. It is the non-profit society advances emerging scientific technologies through different field such as information exchange, continuing medical education, journal/article publications, patent precedent and professional growth. SPIE Europe act as an advocate to political and industrial associations within the European optics and photonics community, and also sponsors and organises global level technical events around Europe continent. SPIE depends on hundreds of individuals who spend their time and talents in a variety of roles to develop the society to meet the needs of its members and constituents. SPIE has been continually honored as the best society in optics and photonics for their contributions and significant achievements in advancing the science of light. SPIE posts on industry advocacy, policy advisement, research highlights, conferences and exhibitions. SPIE annually organizes approximately 25 major technical forums, education programs and exhibitions in North America, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific. The location of SPIE international office is Bellingham, Washington and the SPIE Europe office is located in Cardiff, Wales.
