Speech Pathology Association of Australia is the national peak body for the speech pathology profession in Australia. Speech pathologists are university trained allied health professionals with ability in the assessment and treatment of message and/or swallowing difficulties. The Association has over 6,900 members. When the Association advocates and campaigns on behalf of the occupation, it does so confident in the knowledge that it represents the views and interests of the overwhelming majority of speech pathologists in Australia.
