Southern Oncology Association of Practices is to support its membership by providing a network for education, sharing knowledge of information on issues particular to the field of Medical Oncology and collectively negotiating pharmaceutical companies for more competitive pricing on drugs, supplies and services.
The SOAP was formed in June of 1998 to address the changing needs of medical professional oncologists in private practice. As of July 2013, Southern Oncology Association of Practices group member practices come from 17 states including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, , Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina , New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee.
The goals of SOAP are founded in education, sharing and group purchasing and networking. We strive to establish sharing information on issues particular to the field of medical oncology and to collectively negotiating with wholesalers and pharmaceutical companies for competitive pricing.
