Society of Exploration Geophysicists

The SEG Foundation propels geophysics today and rouses geoscientists for tomorrow through subsidizing creative exercises and allows programs that advantage geophysicists, their expert group, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the general public. The SEG Foundation energizes and underpins experimental, instructive, and altruistic exercises of advantage to geophysicists, through sales of commitments. Exercises upheld by commitments to the SEG Foundation are planned to supplement those bolstered by SEG's working budget. The Foundation is a different beneficent not-for-benefit sorted out particularly to give administration, reporting, and stewardship benefits that givers require. The Foundation relies on yearly commitments like yours to support vital projects for individuals from SEG and society on the loose. SEG Foundation initiative is included numerous devoted people, partnerships, and areas/related social orders who give liberally of their time, ability, and budgetary assets. Without the passion and commitment of our volunteers and donors, we couldn't succeed. Being a member-driven society, the continued success of the society depends on its standing and ad hoc committees. As part of SEG's global strategy, members may contribute in the committee meetings from anywhere in the world if they have internet access, telephones, and a few additional hours to devote to deliberations. As an organization SEG has regulations, and standards it follows to sustain its professional geophysical assistance. The objectives of the Society is to promote the science of exploration geophysics and also the related fields, including research and applications, to stand-in the common scientific interests of geophysicists, and to sustain a high expert standing among the members. The Executive Director will introduce recommended changes to the SEG Policies and Procedures Manual to the Board as the need emerges. The Board will audit the prescribed changes and may recommend extra changes. The Board will consider and take a move to affirm those changes at every meeting.
