Society of European Robotic Gynecological Surgery

Society of European Robotic Gynecological Surgery was founded in 2009. SERGS works on the expansion of the knowledge in robotic surgery in the Europe. This society is young and continues to develop the associations mainly with national societies which are interested in robotic surgery and also interested in minimal invasive surgery. The role of SERGS is also to educate and is to evaluate the new technology. SERGS is an independent scientific Society SERGS which wants to motivate the research in the field of robot-assisted surgery in gynaecology. To obtain the goals, SERGs also plans to set up a web based registry for robot assisting in gynaecological surgeries. The mission of the society are as follow SERGS encourages initiatives for training in robot assisted in surgery to comply with the general health principles in Europe and also to provide directions for standards of training. Standards of training in robot supported surgery should guarantee the safe care of optimal quality. The committee will write the guidelines for training and education in robot assisted surgery. The committee will either by commission make educational material, in text or video which will be available over the SERGS website or by its own initiative.
