Saudi Pediatric Pulmonology Association

The Saudi Pediatric Pulmonology Association (SPPA) is a medicinal and examination body that is a subsidiary of the Saudi Thoracic Society (STS). Dr. Adel S. Al Harbi serves as the current president of the association. The SPPA works with an aim to promote the awareness of paediatric pulmonary disorders facilitate the advancement in treatment and promoting the research in the field Pediatric pulmonology. The SPPA works with an objective to study the local incidence of pulmonary disorders in KSA. To recognize nearby characteristics of the disease including its morbidity and mortality, to provide the educational and training programs to the scholars, for healthcare professionals in the field of paediatric pulmonology. It promotes the public awareness through the different means by electronic media like e.g. social networking sites, Print media e.g. Newspaper, magazines etc. and with the help of public seminars. It creates an environment of close cooperation and exchanges provide a common platform to the students, scholars, scientists, physicians to exchange their ideas and knowledge and clinical experience with each other and suggest quality suggestions. The SPPA encourage and assist the foundation of new paediatric centers on that places where does not have the facility in the Arab Countries and to study the common methods for the treatment and prevention from Pediatric Pulmonology. The SPPA organises the events and the upcoming event of the association is Medical Student Forum MSF2017 which is going to be held in March, 2017 in Dubai.
